Design proposal for an architecture frim's office

by YXO X YT

6 Raffles Boulevard, #02-249 Marina Square, Singapore 039594
Work across everything from corporate campuses to coworking spots, the negative physical effects of spending eight-plus hours behind a desk have long been acknowledged. But since our always-on lifestyles are impacting mental wellbeing, todayʼs workspaces reflect a more holistic approach to health. Today, more than half of Singaporeʼs population currently lives in urban areas, a proportion that's expected to increase even more in the future. As more and more people become disconnected from nature, cues from the comfortable and relaxed ambience of nature will be introduced to an architecture firm office reception area. The traditional reception area has been eliminated in favour of a plant-filled open social space which is divided into three different open-plan areas: Lounge area, Display Area and Meeting Area.

Design proposal for i Light 2020 : Strawdust

by YXO X JR

Event SquMarina Bay Sands, Singapore
The idea is our thoughts are often stuck inside a box.We always couldn’t break out from our safety zone and explore the possibilities to create or imagine. So in our light installation we break out the walls in peoples mind and provide them an isolated space for them to explore. An interaction installation build with mirrors and plastic straws with open and sheltered space which will arouse people to relight, relive and reimagine the possibilities with their own creativity. There is a space with different kinds of seatings in the installation where public can have a sit to rest or explore the possibilities by rearranging them. The outcome of it might not be useful, it can be sculptural, conceptual or any other forms which they have in their mind.
